What is Camp Sensation?

Camp Sensation is an innovative day camp for children with special needs and their siblings, from Monday, Aug. 5 through Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024. We offer a variety of fun and creative activities over three days.

Camp Sensation helps children build their motor, language, socialization and play skills. This is not a therapy program, but our team does include occupational, physical and speech-language therapists, as well as volunteers.

Camp Sensation offers children:

  • A supportive environment surrounded by peers.
  • Increased confidence and independence.
  • Opportunities for social interaction.
  • Improved play skills.
  • The physical benefits of increased activity.
  • Participation in a community-based experience.
  • Preparedness for mainstream camps or other community-based experiences.

Camp Sensation is sponsored by the Pediatric Therapy Clinic at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Towanda Campus.

Who is this camp for?

Camp Sensation is for children ages 4 and up.

Campers ages 4 and 5 have the option to attend from 9 a.m. to noon
Campers ages 6 and up attend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each camper is encouraged to bring one or more siblings age 4 or older. Campers and their siblings will have the opportunity to work together and separately on different activities.
