Our Guthrie Tai Chi for Health Beginner's class offers a series of short form movements designed to address various health conditions. This class is structured around movement therapy and the application of Tai Chi principles.

Session duration
Our Beginner's Class runs for eight weeks, with sessions each Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., for a total of 16 sessions. Class begins Tuesday, Oct. 1 and runs through Thursday, Nov. 21.

Class content
Every session progresses sequentially through a sequence of 12 warm-ups, specific core movements and three cool down forms. The focus is on teaching Tai Chi principles through each forms, aimed at improving core strength, posture, balance and stamina.

Adaptability
This program is adaptable to cater to different fitness levels, making it generally safe for participants of all ages. The gentle, flowing, low-impact movements are particularly suitable for individuals with limited mobility.

Registration
To participate in the class, registration is required for all 16 sessions. The class fee is a total of $60. Class is limited to 15 students.
