Guthrie Appoints New President of Corning Hospital
The Guthrie Clinic is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul G. VerValin, FACHE, FACMPE to the position of President, Guthrie Corning Hospital. VerValin has a total of 20 years with Guthrie.

VerValin will continue to serve as EVP, Chief Operating Officer of The Guthre Clinic system.
VerValin assumes his additional role immediately. “This decision is a clear sign of confidence in the exceptional leadership already in place at Corning Hospital and their ability to deliver exceptional care to the communities we serve,” he said. “I look forward to continuing this journey with the Corning Hospital team, together making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in our care.”
With an extensive background in health care administration, VerValin has held various leadership roles at Guthrie. Prior to joining Guthrie, he was President and CAO of Northeast Georgia Physician’s Group and served as a senior leader of the Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, Georgia.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Fredonia and his Master of Health Services Administration and MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
