Guthrie is pleased to announce the awarding of a $3,000 grant to United Methodist Homes Hilltop Campus through our Community Benefit Grant Program.

This funding will support the installation of a functional blood pressure machine kiosk at the assisted living facility, empowering residents to regularly monitor their blood pressure.

By providing easy access to this tool, residents will be better equipped to identify potential health concerns and seek medical care when needed.

United Methodist Homes is a faith-based nonprofit organization established in 1958 that plays a vital role in enriching the lives of seniors across the Greater Binghamton region of New York and the Northeastern region of Pennsylvania.

With campuses at Hilltop and Highlands, and Elizabeth Church, the organization offers a range of senior living options while emphasizing health, wellness, and community.

The addition of the blood pressure machine kiosk will not only enhance resident well-being but may also promote greater awareness of weight management while helping to prevent potential health crises.

We are proud to support initiatives that align with our commitment to improving community health and fostering a brighter, healthier future for all.

The grant was awarded through Guthrie’s Community Benefit Grant Program, which funds projects based on Guthrie’s Community Health Needs Assessment.

The following areas of need were identified in the most recent assessment: mental health and substance use disorders, obesity, and cancer screening and prevention.
