Guthrie Expands OB/GYN Services into Ithaca
Guthrie is expanding OB/GYN services into Ithaca to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve. In the fall of 2022, Guthrie opened an OB/GYN Clinic in Cortland. It quickly became apparent that as our patient load increased, women from Tompkins County were among those seeking care.
“One of Guthrie’s priorities is to find gaps in health care coverage and fill them,” said J. Manuel Arreguin, Obstetrics and Gynecology Chair, The Guthrie Clinic. “Our ongoing assessments confirmed that women in Ithaca and Tompkins County were searching for additional options for care, close to home, so we took quick action to open an office in Ithaca to meet our patients where they are.”
Effective immediately, certified midwives from our Cortland Clinic will also be seeing patients at Guthrie Ithaca City Harbor, offering services including:
- Women’s health
- Gynecological procedures
- Maternity care
- Prenatal care
- Family planning
- Infertility
- Menopause
- Contraceptive management
