Guthrie Fire & Ice Gala Raises Over $363,000 for Emergency Medicine

Guthrie proudly announces the success of its annual Guthrie Gala, held on Saturday, September 14, raising over $363,000 to support Guthrie Emergency Medicine. The funds will enhance life-saving programs, aid in the purchase of advanced medical equipment, and support training for health care professionals who respond to critical emergencies. 
 
Held at the Corning Museum of Glass, the event brought together a sold-out crowd of nearly 450 attendees for an evening of fine dining, entertainment, and inspiring stories from patients saved by Guthrie’s Emergency Medicine teams who provide high-quality care to our rural communities across 10,000 square miles in New York and Pennsylvania. 
 
“Last year, our emergency departments managed an impressive 145,500 visits, a testament to our commitment to ensuring that every individual in our 12-county service area receives the care they need, when they need it,” said Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, President and CEO, The Guthrie Clinic. “These efforts reinforce the promise we made to deliver exceptional health care – and in our emergency departments, we deliver this care in situations when moments matter.”
