Guthrie named to Becker's Healthcare 2024 List of "Simulation and Education Programs to Know"

The Guthrie Clinic has been named to Becker's list of "Simulation and Education Programs to Know" for 2024. The list includes organizations dedicated to advancing their workforce and service lines through innovative education and simulation initiatives.

Guthrie was recognized for its Simulation and Advanced Skills Institute (SASI) at Robert Packer Hospital. SASI is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary training facility supporting physicians, medical and surgical residents, nurses, ancillary staff, and students with the goal of technical expertise and quality patient care. It integrates the use of more than 10 sophisticated simulation devices outside the operating room, specifically designed to facilitate a more immersive, practical training experience.

SASI was one of only 64 named to this list, and the only one in our service area. Hospitals and health systems with simulation and education programs see improved patient outcomes, reduced health care costs and enhanced patient safety.
