Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Recognized in Hap Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge
Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is one of only 12 hospitals receiving the highest recognition in the 2024 HAP Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge. This honor highlights the hospital's dedication to raising awareness about organ donation.
The Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge, organized by the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) along with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and organ procurement organizations, encourages hospitals to promote organ donation. This year’s event ran from April 1 - April 30, coinciding with National Donate Life Month.
Hospitals participated by engaging in various activities designed to increase organ donation awareness. These efforts are tracked on a scorecard, and hospitals can achieve different levels of recognition based on their activities. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital earned the top recognition, showcasing its commitment to this lifesaving cause.
