Hip pain can be caused by inflammation of the joint or by natural wear and tear. Damaged cartilage and tissue, bone issues and arthritis are common causes of hip pain at different stages of life. We now offer the option of anterior approach hip replacements for patients in Corning and Sayre. Most patients who choose these types of hip replacement are sent home from the hospital sooner (most discharges are the same or the next day). Recovery is faster, you have less pain and see long-term results, which lets you get back to the activities you enjoy most quickly. 

You and your provider can discuss options that are best for you and that may offer a shorter recovery time. Physical therapy is prescribed to help rebuild strength and improve movement.
