Having a birth plan is important, and through the Guthrie/OB Hospitalist group partnership, you can trust that delivery of your baby is in the best hands. The extended team of OBHG doctors have been carefully selected and approved by the OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG), in collaboration with Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.

Q: What is OBHG?
A: OBHG is the OB Hospitalist Group, which is of a team of doctors that routinely provide coverage to help deliver babies. You will still see the Guthrie OB/GYN team throughout your pregnancy. A Guthrie provider or an OBHG doctor will deliver your baby, depending on when you deliver.
Q: Will I be billed by OBGH or Guthrie?
A: You may receive separate charges from Guthrie and OBHG. If an OBHG provider delivers your baby, you will receive a separate bill for their Professional Physician fee, as well as a hospital bill from Guthrie.
Q: Will my insurance cover OBHG?
A: OBHG participates with many insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Guthrie Highmark.

Can’t Pay Your Bill?
Guthrie is proud of its mission to provide care to all who need it. If you do not have health insurance or worry that you may not be able to pay for part or all of your care, we may be able to help. Guthrie provides financial aid to patients based on their income, assets, and financial needs. In addition, we may be able to help you get free or low-cost health insurance or work with you to arrange a manageable payment plan.
